About Me

Let me start by referencing an extract from “The Invitation” by Oriah (Mountain Dreamer) (worth reading the full version)…

“It doesn’t interest me
what you do for a living.
I want to know
what you ache for
and if you dare to dream
of meeting your heart’s longing…

…It doesn’t interest me
who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me
where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know
what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.”

So now about me…

In short:

My purpose in life is:

  • to help those around me reach their purest selves,
  • to Be Love, to Live love and to Shine Love,
  • to improve the quality of life of those around me,
  • to live life fearlessly,
  • to do what I love – what inspires and motivates me,
  • to love those closest to me and help them be their best – help them realize their full potential; to help them be better than we were – to achieve more than we did,
  • to “Leave the Jersey in a better place”**,
  • to leave the world in a better place (than it was when I came into it).

**Reference to the All Blacks rugby team in the book “Legacy” by James Kerr

My Values:

I choose to engage in introspection and to ask myself empowering questions such as:

  • How can I best server the world?
  • What if I were to serve without recognition of any sort?
  • What if engaging my kids is the most important thing I can do?
  • What if every day in every way, I allowed myself to be guided, blessed, led and inspired (by God / The Universe / Grace/Life)?
  • What if there was no striving, no judgement and no attachment – just being and being guided (blessed)?
  • What if I have a way to ‘set my ideas free’ and let/have others ‘run with them’?

  1. Thank you, Anthony for this blog and for being the way you are. There is much need in the world for this!
Interestingly, I discovered this poem (The Invitation) a few months back and shared it in a group I belong to. Perhaps next to “If ” of Rudyard Kipling, I found it to be one of the most profound writings, going straight to the center of our human condition.
Wishing you love, happiness and much success with all your endeavors!
